I couldn't have asked for a better birthday this year! I got treated to an amazing seafood dinner in Santa Monica. Equipped with a 3lb lobster and all. No better way to celebrate turning 24 than to be with eating delicious food by the beach!

The Breakfast of My Dreams

For the past week I have had waffles on my mind, I tend to get these random cravings. These waffles were everything I imagined them to be, so fluffy and flavorful. This little cafe is super cute with a 50's theme, hence the name 50's diner. The portions are extremely generous and everyone is always so friendly! I definitely recommend this place if you find yourself on the west side of LA.

I had to do the college experience and attend at least one football game. It was the first home game of the season and we won...woot woot. I don't necessarily understand football consider it a sport of my choice, but hey I'm trying. Let's just say I'm stoked for basketball season. Needless to say, it was a good experience and fun to see everyone with so much school spirit. 

So Fresh and So Clean

So this morning I did spin class at Kinetic Cycling in Brentwood and nearly died. That being said, it's such a great workout but I will definitely need to build up my stamina. It's awesome because they teach the class with music videos and songs that totally pump you up. Not to mention we dance on the bikes a little too. 

This awesome little juice place, Juice Crafters, is right across the way from my apartment so it's convenient to walk over right after spin class! I got the Pacific Love as a meal replacement which was delicious. I highly recommend Kinetic Cycling and to try a juice at Juice Crafters if you're in the area!

Health Kick

Lately I've started working out pretty regularly again and it feels amazing. I used to juice all the time and I stopped because it's hard to keep up, especially when you're busy. Luckily there are tons of places that offer fresh raw vegetable and fruit juices, although they are super expensive. I finally tried Pressed Juicery after hearing many things about it and I must say it was pretty tasty. 

I stumbled upon this awesome offer called Class Pass that allows you to try various workout studios throughout your city for a fixed monthly fee. You can't beat it for the variety of classes it offers and that just shows a few. Nothing looks as good as healthy feels!

Ride or Die

I love living in LA...it's so much better than boring Orange County and there is always something to do. I love being so close to my friends that we can hang out at a moment's notice. This little cafe in Venice is the bomb. Good food and cheap with huge portions! 

Oh Venice

Venice Beach is a pretty weird place but so entertaining. I love walking around and seeing all the different types of people there are. 

New Beginnings

Super happy that my hard work has paid off in getting me into a great college of which I am proud. After commuting to LA for nearly 7 years I have finally made the move! I'm thankful for all my family and friends that have supported me throughout the way. Obviously none of this would be possible without my best friend/other half/sister/mom. I am excited to see what the future holds. It's just the beginning!

Guilty Pleasures

So I've been following Nasty Gal for at least 3 years now and I was always so enamored with the way they created their own fashion and style. Sophia has always been an inspiration to me and I was excited when I found out that she was coming out with her own book. Also, I can't deny loving a glass of white wine from Trader Joe"s (Green Fin is the best) to go along side a relaxing evening absorbing Sophia's wisdom.
